As a Platform Engineer (m/f/d) you are responsible together with the Platform Engineering Team for the support and further development of the digital platform that we provide to our customers and internal development teams.

Your playing field at Gini

• You bring your previous experience as a Platform Engineer and assist in prioritizing tasks to foster a positive work atmosphere
• You take ownership of platform engineering issues and work to set and achieve clear progress goals
• You work closely with development teams, external vendors and customers to support and implement their requirements for our digital platform
• You assist in identifying, researching, and implementing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for new technologies that advance the digital platform
• You contribute to building a comprehensive understanding of all components of Gini's digital platform
• You play a key role in operational processes, incident capture and ensuring business continuity

Skills to be successful

• You bring 3+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps engineer, Automation Engineer, Linux Systems Engineer or similar roles
• You bring deep knowledge of Linux, in-depth knowledge of kernel concepts (namespaces, CGroups), and 2+ years of working experience in bare-metal Kubernetes and cloud
• You have an advanced understanding of network routing concepts such as BGP
• You have a good understanding of the development, operations and lifecycle of software products
• You have solid knowledge of architecture and design of distributed systems
• You participate in weekly on-call rotations in a very stable environment
• You feel comfortable working in an agile team and you are motivated to shape the future of our platform
• You are fluent in English in a business context, written and spoken
