Who we are - the Gini Community
Founded in 2011 Gini is a well-established award-winning FinTech company disrupting the banking, e-commerce, and insurance sector. Our most well-known product is our Gini photo payment software assistant, which is integrated into over 90% of German banking apps. With this and other products, we aim to improve everyone's quality of life by simplifying tedious tasks through automation. What’s special about us: We place a high value on autonomy, which we integrate into our daily work life with flat hierarchies. We have four core values that are essential to our collaboration at Gini: Excellence, Opportunities rather than Risks, Love, and Commitment & Responsibility. You can find more details about our values and the way we work together at Gini in our handbook.
We are very proud to have received several awards in recent years, including "Top Employer 2020" from Focus, "Financial Product of the Year 2022," and "Top Company" from kununu for 2023, 2024, and 2025.
At Gini, a Sales Development Representative (m/f/d) is not a traditional lead qualifier who simply follows scripts. We are looking for someone who already has experience in outbound sales and enjoys having challenging first conversations, engaging skeptical decision-makers, and creating genuine dialogue. You will open new opportunities, lead meaningful business conversations with relevant stakeholders, and lay the foundation for long-term customer relationships within the banking and insurance industries.
Your playing field at Gini
- You proactively identify new business opportunities and build your own high-quality outbound pipeline.
- You conduct cold calls with decision-makers and key stakeholders in the banking and insurance industries.
- You develop targeted outbound strategies for different customer segments, accounts, and use cases.
- You generate interest, relevance, and credibility even in challenging first conversations – whether with skeptical prospects, gatekeepers, or direct rejections.
- You identify genuine customer challenges and adapt your approach based on the conversation rather than relying on rigid scripts.
- You understand business contexts, priorities, and customer pain points instead of simply presenting product features.
- You coordinate follow-ups in a structured and persistent manner and systematically move opportunities forward.
- You work closely with our Sales team and contribute to creating high-quality opportunities with real business potential.
- You analyze your activities, test new approaches, and continuously improve your sales conversations and outbound strategies.
- You maintain accurate CRM documentation and ensure reliable pipeline transparency.
Skills to be successful
- You have 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Outbound Sales, or a comparable sales-related role.
- You have successfully built outbound pipelines and generated qualified sales opportunities independently.
- You have experience conducting cold outreach and leading discovery calls or first conversations with prospective customers.
- You understand how to engage busy decision-makers and confidently guide conversations toward meaningful outcomes.
- You are able to identify genuine objections, handle them effectively, and adapt your communication style to the situation.
- You work in a structured and organized manner, prioritize effectively, and stay on top of longer follow-up cycles.
- You bring a strong hunter mentality and enjoy creating new business opportunities from scratch.
- You communicate in a direct, concise, and authentic way without relying on typical sales clichés.
- You are data-driven, reflect on your performance, and actively look for ways to improve your results.
- You have excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
