Munich, 9 February 2026. The Cash discount calculator from Gini, a provider of AI-based solutions for banks, insurance companies, and e-commerce, is now integrated into the VR Banking App of Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken via Atruvia, the digitalisation partner of the cooperative financial group. The millions of customers who use the VR Banking App now have access to another smart feature for automatically recognising discounts via the proven Gini Pay Photo Payment. The application helps users to avoid overlooking discounts and thus save money when paying bills. The Cash discount calculator was delivered mobile-first and is therefore initially available in the VR Banking App. An activation in online banking is planned.

Automatic discount recognition: even smarter payment processing

Gini’s Cash discount calculator automatically detects when an invoice includes a discount and takes the user directly to a separate discount menu. If the discount is still valid, it is automatically applied. Discount amounts or due dates can be adjusted as needed. The user then proceeds to the transfer screen to make the Photo Payment via the banking app as usual.
To ensure users always have complete transparency, the app clearly indicates when the discount is valid only on the current day, when the validity date has already expired, or when the discount is only granted for cash payments, as per the invoice. The dialogue can be exited at any time, ensuring maximum flexibility and complete freedom of choice.
