For us, sustainability is not just a trendy buzzword, but a fundamental cornerstone of our corporate philosophy. We take responsibility for our actions, our products, and the impact we achieve with our partners. For this reason, we underwent an independent sustainability assessment and are delighted to have been awarded the silver medal by EcoVadis.
An independent seal of approval for responsible business practices
The assessment was carried out by EcoVadis, an internationally recognized platform for ESG assessment of companies. An ESG assessment is a structured analysis of a company’s environmental, social, and governance performance based on defined sustainability criteria. EcoVadis assesses performance in the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The assessment is based on international standards such as the principles of the UN Global Compact, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and standards such as ISO 14001, 26000, GRI, and SASB.
The assessment takes into account both documented guidelines, concrete measures, and verifiable results. The final result is an overall score between 0 and 100 points and a classification in a medal system (bronze, silver, gold, platinum), which allows for better comparability.
Why we were recognized—and what we are doing with it
Gini was positively evaluated for its commitment in several ESG areas. Particular emphasis was placed on our sustainable operations through data centers in Germany powered by 100% green electricity, our transparent, fair, and long-term cooperation with suppliers and partners, and our structured internal ESG governance – from guidelines and training to regular reviews of our progress.
This rating results from our continuous efforts, both internally and externally. It encourages us to continue on our path and to make sustainability measurable, transparent, and effective.
What our score means
We are particularly pleased that Gini achieved a score of over 86% in Germany’s “Data processing, hosting and related activities; web portals” sector.
Specifically, this means that our rating in this area is better than that of 86% of all companies evaluated in our field of activity in Germany. This puts us among the top 15% of companies in our industry. For us, this ranking is more than just a benchmark: it shows that our structures are viable even when measured against demanding external standards.

The sustainability seal has an internal impact and helps our partners and customers reliably achieve their own goals. Specifically, this means:
- Transparency: Our ESG performance is independently evaluated and transparently documented so that customers, partners, and external stakeholders know what measures are being taken at all times.
- Regulatory compatibility: The seal helps our customers meet ESG requirements along the supply chain or in tenders.
- Secure partnership: Through official certifications and seals, we can demonstrate that we are a reliable and secure partner in data protection, information security, and sustainability.

The ESG rating by EcoVadis is a milestone for us—but not an end point. We see sustainability as an ongoing task. That is why we will continue to work on understanding, managing, and continuously improving our impact. Whether in the further development of our products, in cooperation with partners, or in our internal processes: sustainability remains an integral part of our approach—well-founded, verifiable, and effective.
