- Photo Payments even faster
- Easily calculate the remaining amount of returns when shopping online
Munich, 7 November 2024. With the launch of the new Consorsbank app, the bank is also integrating the extended Gini Pay Photo Payment, including the Return Assistant. With the solution from Gini, a provider of innovative payment solutions, users of the banking app can carry out photo payments even faster: They now take under two seconds.
The Gini Photo Payment extension also includes the Return Assistant, which benefits online shoppers.
Users of the Consorsbank app can use the feature to automatically calculate the payment amount for orders which they only want to keep. The remaining amount can then be paid conveniently by photo payment. The Return Assistant integrated into the Gini Pay Photo Payment represents an interface between the needs of e-commerce customers and banks. This makes it easier for customers who buy on account when shopping online to pay after processing returns.
Fast payment – without tedious calculations
The Gini solution is quick and easy to use. Customers of Consorsbank open their banking app and take a photo of the invoice with their smartphone or share the corresponding PDF. The artificial intelligence of the Gini Pay Return Assistant identifies the biller and makes it visible to the user. It displays the automatically recognised items required for payment – in addition to the IBAN, recipient and reason for payment, it also shows the details of the individual invoice items, including the individual prices. Customers then select the goods they wish to return. The feature calculates the remaining amount to be paid. This eliminates the need to manually calculate the individual amounts of products that they do not want to keep, as well as calculation errors that lead to an incorrect amount being transferred.
Gini already supports major e-commerce retailers such as Zalando, Otto, Tchibo, Bonprix and Klarna.
“We always like to offer our customers innovative solutions that simplify their payment processes. The Gini Pay Photo Payment was already integrated into our previous banking app and was widely used. With the addition of the Return Assistant and now an even faster Photo Payment, our new Consorsbank app offers even more convenience,” said Tino Benker-Schwuchow, Head of Consorsbank.
“With our product developments we want to make everyday bureaucracy easier for people. As many people now shop online and often return products, we offer them a solution that makes the complicated calculations and transfers easy,” said Alexander Jäger, COO of Gini GmbH. “We are delighted that Consorsbank customers are now also benefiting from this.”
