Munich, 26 April 2023. The audience of insureNXT has decided live: The Gini Pay Connect solution has been awarded the Audience Award of the Innovators Award 2023. The feature from Gini, ottonova and Consorsbank already convinced the jury, which is made up of national and international industry personalities, and was previously on the top 10 shortlist selected by them. It prevailed against a total of 50 submitted projects.
Elaborate bureaucratic process much simpler and faster
The Gini Pay Connect transfer function facilitates the billing and payment of medical bills for people with private health insurance and was integrated into the Consorsbank and ottonova apps for the first time last year.
The reimbursement process for medical bills is time-consuming and administratively complex for privately insured persons: They must first pay the bill themselves and then submit it to their insurance company in a separate process.
The feature developed by Gini and ottonova offers an improved user experience and enables insured persons to transfer payment information, for example for doctor and pharmacy bills, from the ottonova app to the Consorsbank banking app with just a few clicks and complete the payment.
The solution conveniently links the two otherwise separate processes of billing and payment. Users also have an overview of invoices that have already been paid and those that are still open, but also of reimbursements from private health insurance.
