• Improved user experience design
  • Innovative user interface is barrier-free

Berlin/Munich, 9 August 2023. Deutsche Kreditbank AG (DKB) is the first bank in Germany to offer its customers the brand new Gini Photo Payment update.
Gini, a leader in innovative payment and extraction solutions, has improved the UX design and user interface to provide users with an enhanced experience. The popular remittance feature impresses with a sleek, intuitive, modern design that is also inclusive and barrier-free design. Gini has redesigned the screens. Savings banks and banks that have integrated Gini’s AI feature into their banking app can also use the update to independently customize its appearance and integrate it to match their corporate design.

Gini Photo Payment can be used in a variety of ways and enables fast transfers

By using the Gini Pay Photo Payment in the new DKB app, DKB customers can save a lot of time. Using a smartphone photo, a QR code with payment information, or directly sharing a PDF or screenshot with the banking app, they can pay the bill quickly and conveniently. The Open with/Share with function makes it easy: either open the bill digitally via the banking app or automatically assign scattered account details in a WhatsApp message with the screenshot transfer. In addition, users can also use the photo payment directly in the banking app by opening it and simply uploading the document.
In each case, the feature reads out the necessary information, such as IBAN or the amount to be paid, and fills out the transfer form fully automatically. All the user has to do is approve the transfer—and the payment is made.

“Absolute user-friendliness is the key to successfully designing the banking of tomorrow. If we can make processes like the photo transfer intuitive and easy to understand, we make our customers’ everyday lives easier and enable a smooth and efficient banking experience,” says Maren Heiß, Head of Retail Banking at DKB.

“We are pleased that DKB customers will now benefit from our further development,” says Holger Teske, co-founder and CEO of Gini GmbH. “With the new user interface and the improved user experience, photo payments will be even more convenient from now on.”
