Munich, July 5, 2023. Gini, a leader in innovative payment and extraction solutions and known for its photo payment, has appointed Alexander Jäger as Managing Director, effective June 27, 2023. He will join Holger Teske, who serves as CEO and managing director, in the role of COO, where he will be responsible for operational management and play a key role in driving the company’s expansion into a scaling business.
Jäger, born in 1979, joined Gini in 2021 and was initially responsible for Sales & Business Development in the banking sector. He then took over company-wide operational coordination with power of attorney in 2022 to optimize Gini for further growth.
“My mission is to create the best possible supportive and challenging work environment for outstanding and future-oriented growth, with payment solutions that automagically simplify the lives of end users,” Jäger says. “With Gini’s solutions, we aim to make payments easier in Europe. In doing so, Gini should and will play a decisive role in the market.”
Extensive professional experience in renowned companies
Before joining Gini, Jäger founded shyopa in 2019, an online coaching platform with easy and fast access to high-quality support in professional change processes. From 2014 to 2018, the 44-year-old held various positions at Amazon. He started as New Key Accounts Manager and was most recently Senior Vendor Manager and EU Retail Project Lead for Smart Home there. Prior to Amazon, Jäger spent six years at TNS Infratest, where he was responsible for sales and implementing international employee surveys, among other things, as a senior consultant. Earlier in his career, he worked in the management of a climbing gym. Jäger studied business administration at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena and is a trained business coach.
