Munich. The Versicherungskammer is launching a collaboration with Gini, provider of innovative payment solutions, and IBM, provider in the areas of global hybrid cloud, AI and consulting, for its payment solutions in the private health insurance sector.
By linking the “Gini Pay Connect” function to the “Mein GesundheitsManager” app developed by IBM, insured persons will be able to pay medical bills conveniently from the insurance app via their banking app from next year, for example. The integration of the payment function completes the range of services offered by “GesundheitsManager”, from invoice submission and reimbursement to payments to the doctor’s surgery.
Advantages of integration for those with private health insurance
The integration of “Gini Pay Connect” turns private health insurance apps into a central administration point for all invoices. This makes the billing and payment process less bureaucratic and time-saving for policyholders, as Gini seamlessly links the reimbursement processes between customer and doctor’s practice as well as customer and insurance company: policyholders send their healthcare invoices to their private health insurance provider digitally via the app. “Gini Pay Connect” extracts the payment information and forwards it to the customer’s banking app so that the transaction only needs to be initiated.
With its payment function, the “Mein GesundheitsManager” app also meets the expectations of younger policyholders, in particular for user-friendly digital solutions. It also simplifies administrative processes for insurers when it comes to billing benefits. The payment feature also creates the option of offering additional healthcare services via a single app in the future.
“The cooperation with Gini enables us to offer our customers an even better range of services,” says Isabella Martorell Naßl, CEO of the health insurance group within the Versicherungskammer Group. “We are thus increasing the attractiveness of our health manager and offering our policyholders added value through simple and convenient processes.”
“By integrating Gini’s innovative payment solution into our service app, we are once again proving that our focus is on customer satisfaction, user-friendliness and innovation,” says Manuel Metzmann, Associate Partner, Insurance at IBM.
“We are very pleased about the cooperation with Versicherungskammer and IBM,” says Holger Teske, CEO of Gini. “The solution simplifies bureaucratic processes and saves time for policyholders. At the same time, private health insurers also benefit from this innovative feature.”
