Munich, 6 August 2025. Gini, a provider of innovative payment solutions, has been awarded the silver medal for sustainability performance by the renowned rating platform EcoVadis. With a score of 70 out of 100 points, Gini ranks among the Top 15 percent of companies rated in the sector ‘Data processing, hosting and related activities; web portals’ in Germany.
Sustainability is a central component of Gini’s corporate culture. ESG issues are firmly anchored in the company: from binding guidelines and regular training to systematic progress reviews. Gini also impresses with the climate-friendly operation of its data centres in Germany, which are powered entirely by green electricity. Furthermore, the Munich-based company scored points with its fair, transparent, long-term cooperation with partners and suppliers.

Independent seal for sustainable business practices
Founded in Paris in 2007, EcoVadis assesses companies worldwide based on international standards such as the UN Global Compact, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and standards such as ISO 14001, 26000, GRI and SASB. Environmental management, labour and human rights, ethical business conduct and sustainable procurement are evaluated. Based on documented guidelines as well as measures actually implemented and verifiable results, companies are assigned an overall score between 0 and 100 points. The top 35% are additionally awarded a medal (bronze, silver, gold, platinum).
