    Munich, 4 December 2025.<\/strong> Gini, a provider of AI-based solutions for banks, insurance companies, and e-commerce, has unveiled three new functions for its popular photo payment feature, which was used over 19 million times in November alone. The enhancements are now available as an SDK update and can be integrated by banks and savings banks. With these enhancements, the Poto Payment, which is already integrated into many banking apps and used regularly by numerous bank customers, will become even more user-friendly and service-oriented.<\/p>\n

    New options: Payment due hint, Save to Gallery, and \u201cAlready paid\u201d warning
    \nGini has developed features that make the transfer process more convenient for users. They support photos and PDFs of invoices that have been taken or imported via camera, upload, or open.<\/p>\n

    1. Hint on the payment due date<\/strong>
      \nThe feature proactively informs users when an analyzed invoice has a later due date after successful extraction. The 3-second notification with the due date appears on the screen as follows: “Tip: Your invoice is due on dd.mm.yyyy. You could set it up as a scheduled transfer.” Exceptions to this are cases in which the Gini Cash Discount Calculator or Return Assistant is displayed. The notification in the banking app can also be closed by the user.<\/li>\n
    2. Save to gallery function<\/strong>
      \nThe function is a switch that can be activated by the user within the Photo Payment. It automatically saves a photo of the invoice on the user’s device once the data has been successfully extracted or read. Only photos of invoices taken directly with the camera are saved. Imported images are not saved again as they already exist on the device.<\/li>\n
    3. \u201cAlready paid\u201d warning<\/strong>
      \nThis feature proactively alerts the user of Photo Payment if the scanned invoice contains a note indicating that it has already been paid. If an attempt is made to pay it anyway, the banking app displays a warning on the screen and a confirmation window that cannot be closed, with two calls to action: \u201cCancel transfer \u2192 Return to banking app \/ Cancel transaction\u201d and \u201cContinue anyway \u2192 Continue with transaction.\u201d
      \nThe function has been designed to comply with data protection regulations in such a way that Gini does not need to search through the bank customer’s previous Photo Payments or the transaction list in the banking app, but is based purely on recognizing the note on the invoice.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
